Volton manufactures ceramic band heaters, and has developed over the years, ceramic band heaters with a cooling system, commonly known as « air cool ».


A GUARANTEE OF LONG SERVICE LIFE

The use of ceramic over mica bands allows for higher temperatures. Providing flexibility permits more rapid installation and dismantling, and can resist more extreme conditions.

Because of the radiant effect of the ceramic bands, larger bands are possible (max. 31’’ in diameter), thereby reducing the number of bands necessary per zone, and ensuring more uniform heat.

Volton repairs ceramic and air-cool heater bands, regardless of where they were manufactured, by replacing the ceramic and resistance wires.

AIR-COOL CERAMIC BAND HEATERS We have devised ventilated ceramic bands in order to meet the needs of several of our clients whose applications necessitate air cooled extrusions. The aluminized steel casing is aerated to allow for faster cooling of the element and the cylinder. If required, forced air blower casings are also available.
