PREVENTION

Volton's engineering service makes it one's responsibility to suggest the most adequate heating elements to answer his customers' heating applications.

Volton's team studies your heating applications whather it is to heat a liquid or a solid and gives you proper recommendations.

In addition, Volton gives to customers advices in order to optimize the duration of its heating elements.

Exemple:
Too many watts per square inch can shorten life of an heating element. It is very important to know the maximum watts you should have per square inch.

In order to find the maximum watts for an heating element Volton suggests to use the following formula

FORMULA
Surface of heating element
x number of watts per square inch

EXAMPLE
Example for a strip heater 7" long x 3" wide:
7" x 3" x 25 watts per sq. inch = 525 watts

This strip heater must not exceed 525 watts in order
to have a long duration of the element.
