Features
In short: Volton ceramic radiant tube heaters are custom-built for industrial heating applications. They can operate at temperatures up to 1400 °C (2552 °F) and can be configured to meet specific installation, dimensional and electrical requirements.

- Maximum operating temperature of up to 1400 °C (2552 °F).
- Radiant heating rods available in nickel-chrome 80/20 or Kanthal A-1, with lengths up to 12 ft.
- Ceramic element outside diameters ranging from 3 to 9 in.
Electrical specifications
- Low-voltage operation available up to 600 V, three-phase.
- Lower voltage allows the use of a larger resistance wire, resulting in higher current.
- CSA and UL certifications.
What is a ceramic radiant tube used for?
Ceramic radiant tubes are used in industrial processes that require high-temperature heating and heat transfer without direct contact with the material being heated. They are commonly used in furnaces and various types of heat-treatment equipment.
How does radiant heating work?
Radiant heating transfers part of its thermal energy as radiation toward the surfaces being heated. Unlike systems that rely primarily on circulating air, radiant heating transfers heat directly toward materials or components exposed to the heat source.

Element temperature vs. process temperature: what is the difference?
The maximum temperature of a heating element does not necessarily represent the actual temperature of the furnace, component or process. The resulting temperature also depends on power, system configuration, heat losses and operating conditions.
