Features

Typically used during assembly and disassembly of turbines, engine heads, dies, cylinder and large flange connections.

  • Custom lengths, diameters and wattages available on special order (12’’ to 60’’ length, 120-600V; 850W to 5000W)
  • Relatively lightweight units range in weight from 4 lbs to 9 lbs (2 kg to 4 kg)
  • Quick heat source for rapid expansion.

Applications
  • Typically used during assembly and disassembly of turbines, engine heads, dies, cylinder and large flange connections.
  • Bolt Heaters are used to preheat large, hollow holding bolts or studs where a high concentration of heat is critical for bolt expansion, enabling wrench tightening of the nut.
  • As an insertion type unit, the bolt heater is widely used in the manufacture and servicing of heavy-duty steam or other pressure equipment. It is also used to heat die blocks and large platens and to expand adjusting bolts on mechanical or hydraulic presses.
